IRIS Executives, leader in the Emiratization market is urgently looking for a Head of Asset Management for one of its largest clients in Abu Dhabi (Only UAE Nationals will be considered for this role).

Job Responsibilities:

Your main responsibility will be managing the company’s interest in its operational P&W assets with the aim of maximizing profits and returns to the shareholders and establishing long term plans and strategies to monetize and/or grow through expansion at existing sites, raising capital, refinancing, …etc.

Other responsibilities:

–          Lead, manage, and develop the asset management team to ensure the successful execution of their duties and initiatives, optimize efficiency in financial and operational performance.

–          Promoting effective relationship with the management and international JV partners of company’s P&W assets and manage interactions with internal and external stakeholders to prepare recommendation to senior management on any financial/contractual/commercial/strategic matter

–          Prepapre the annual Asset Management Plan and ensure resources are in place for execution.

–          Actively identify and promote fleet management strategies in order to capture value opportunities from economies of scale, process standardization, Optimiztion of O&M strategies, improved suppliers’ base and competition, etc.

–          Ensure that company’s P&W assets comply with legal requirements, internal policies, and best industry standards in relation to HSE, O&M, financial management, corporate governabce, etc.

–          Establish, own, and maintain a risk register for each indivitual and for the fleet, inlcuding and evaluating identifying risks as well as proposing mitigation actions in consultation with the managing directors of each asset.

–          Oversee projects financial matters, and ensure the team is regulary reviewing and analyzing company’s P&W assets’ financial statements in order to identify opportunities for optimization of capital strucuture and cash management to enhance return to shareholders.

–          Understand the economic climate at each of the assets in order to manage the appropriate strategic focus via growth by expansion or acquisition in a market, potential partnering or divesture, or refinance and leverage opportunities.

–          Conduct and present to the management of the company monthly operational and financial reviews to assess progress against budgets and targets, identify the main variances and work with the managements of P&W assests to propose corrective actions.

–          Monitor and analyse the key performance indicators and trends of the company’s P&W assets as indivituals and as a fleet and conduct benchmarking analysis to identify gaps vs best practices and promote action plans to capture untapped performance potential and value.

–          Lead ad-hoc excersies such as PWPA extension, refinancing, LTSA negotiations, or any critical matter requiring shareholders participation.

–          Coordinate and participate in site visits to company’s P&W assets to obtain first hand knowledge and get better understanding of the challenges and opportunites.

–          Undertake additional assignments and projects as might be requested by the VP P&W.

–          Represent company’s interest at the project level to assure maximum profitability and return on investment including participating in steering and advisory committees.

–          Providing high level strategic, planning and policy advice to the VP UAE&GCC and Executive Officer on all matters affecting company’s P&W assets operations, capacity and sustainability .

To qualify for this role, you must: 

–   Have Bachelor or high diploma degree in business administration, finance, or engineering. MBA is preferred.

–   Have IFRS Knowledge.

–   Have 8 – 10 years of experince in P&W industry in which he/she helds senior roles in asset management.

–   Have experience in working with JV partners and complex governance structures.

–   Have experience in project finance and refinancing.

Preferred qualifications / experience:

–   Experience in Financial modelling and contracts

–   Experience in operation and maintenance of power plants

–   Qualified CFA, or Chartered Accountant Certificate is preferred.
