10 Powerful Questions To Nail That Job Interview!

We’ve said it before, questions reflect your intelligence to the interviewer. We have gathered for you 10 powerful questions that if used at an interview, will give you an unfair advantage over other job applicants!

Rather than asking selfishly oriented questions, you should communicate much more of a desire to create a beneficial partnership instead. (There are many ways to find out answers related to the job grade, pay scale, working hours, bonus, etc… prior to your interview)

All of the 4 following questions communicate a real interest to the role you are being interviewed for. The questions below will help you know more about the role and the company you’re interviewing for.

  1. How do you measure performance and success for this role?
  2. What brought you to “Organisation name”?
  3. How would you describe the company’s culture?
  4. What do you enjoy the most, working here?

During your interview, when it is time for you to ask a few questions, focus on those that would give you more information about the role, which in turn will allow you to position yourself more efficiently. Towards the end of the interview, these questions will allow you a chance to reiterate or re-explain where where your profile fits the role.

  1. How can I best help your company achieve its goals?
  2. For you, what is the most important thing about the person you hire for this position?
  3. What did the most successful person that held this role DO that you would like to see ME replicate?
  4. What do you see as my strength and weaknesses for this role?
  5. What’s the biggest challenge that you have right now that I could be able to help you with if I was selected for this position?
  6. How do you see my experience fitting into the role?

Finally, question 4 will allow you to uncover what your interviewer is really after. It’s like receiving an immediate feedback on your profile! You will then be able to comment his answers with more value you can bring.

Please feel free to leave a comment, I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Until then, Good Luck with Those Interviews!
