How to Make sure your CV gets found by Employers!

Preliminary note: Remember that the #1 purpose of writing your CV should be to GET AN INTERVIEW! (NOT A JOB… YET…)

There’s 1 thing that your CV must have in order to receive more phone calls from Employers. Use keywords… lots of them.

1st stage of the process: Your resume/CV needs to be found. It sounds obvious but many fail to understand this simple truth: The more your CV comes up in searches, the more you’ll receive phone calls for better career opportunities.

The way employers/recruiters usually find CVs is by keyword search. In the same way you use keywords in search engines, employers do the same with their database of applicants/candidates. So make sure your CV is full of relevant keywords so that it comes up in the Searches as many times as possible. This simple tip blow your mind in terms of results.

But how do you know what keywords recruiters and employers will be using in their search? The answer is in the job description / job advert.
Now look at your CV in a different eye, if you were the employer, what keywords would you type in to find the best profiles in your sector? The answer is in the Job Descriptions! They have plenty of relevant keywords because this is where employers are telling you what they’re looking for!

Also, ask managers and recruiters in your industry: what are the 3 things they want to see on someone’s CV when searching for profiles like yours?

The better your keywords, the more you will come up in the searches and the more you will receive phone calls! If you tried this (or if you have any questions), please leave a comment!

Y’Allah, until next time!
